Fourth Quirk - Video (On the road to Ecruteak City.)

*It seems the Sentret named Tailypo is at the camera again. Imogen is running alongside a Ponyta in circles. If you look in the background, Omen and Whiskey are curled up around an egg. Joules is glaring at the Ponyta.

Rikku Rikku Rikku- wait... That sounds too much like Riku, and I talk to him too, so...

Braidku! Yes, perfect. LOOK!

*Imogen does another run with her new Ponyta.*

I figured it would take longer for her to get on her feet. But look, as soon as I was sure she was steady I started training her. Plus, she doesn't burn me! Meet Wildfyre, with a y. In the fire part, not the wild part. Thankyouthanyouthankyou!

Anyway, I don't feel ready yet, you know... riding. I'll still head to the farm, like I planned, and get whatever help I can. Then I'll head back to Violet and the gym battle.

*Imogen and Wildfyre pause, and Immy starts petting the small horse mon. She pauses a moment.* ...Unless someone can think of a better plan for me. I'm not opposed to other plans.

They're surprisingly quick learners, and it might get you in the Gym leader's good graces. Turns out he trains Flying-types.

Lucky you. I think I'll have to ask Dark Hound to set the whole Gym on fire if I want to stand a chance.

Lightning will work better than fire.

Or rocks, rocks are good.

...I have a Fire- and Dark-type dog, a poisonous bat, a spider and a whole lot of Normal-types. Oh, and an egg. I guess I could find a rock on that cave back on route 31?

The spider is a bad plan. That's probably a bug here.

Um... Ice works too, but it doesn't sound like you have that either. Rock seems like the best bet if there's a cave near you.

I should work on Joules getting stronger if flying is the first thing, she's kinda intense but I try to keep her out of fights because of it. She... unpredictable.

A bug, with poison and a smiling face on her back. Maybe we could win by making them smile back. But the rocks sound safer, yeah.

Unpredictable as in she invents her own strategies, or unpredictable as in she might decide to cartwheel around the Gym instead?

Well, the thing is Flying things are good against Buggy things. So you wouldn't really want to rely on it.

She... sometimes she doesn't really get into fights, and then she'll get really into some fights. She also leers at Tailypo and Wildfyre.

Even if her type was good, I couldn't use her. She's too young and tiny.

...That does sound a bit weird. Can you tell what exactly makes her get into fights or not?

I suppose, you'll come up with something.

I think its other girls, Whiskey and Wildfyre are girls, the rest of my team are boys. Which is why she's only uncontrollable in half the battles I send her to.

Wow. I remember a few girls acting utterly masty with each other back in high school, but that's taking rivalry a bit far.

Girls at my school could be that nasty sometimes. It usually involves boys and sex and all manner of things like that.

Best to stay out of it.

The Mobile Suit Club was pretty good at keeping me out of it, for the most part. Unless you count a few of Romary's friends, but they were more cold than nasty.

A club for students who liked engineering. We had to build our own robot from scratch.

*Why does Mobile Suit sound familiar...*

...What sort of robots?

Humanoid battle robots. We placed pretty high in a few competitions.

So you came from some place where high schools battled robots to a magical Pokemon Adventure!?

My world gets more and more boring with everyone I meet here. *NOT AT ALL BITTER*

...You might find it boring, but I bet having your whole city destroyed by an attack at any time isn't one of your worries.

How big are these robots you're talking about?

Most are around eighteen metres tall, though that's only regular models. The ones we built at school were much smaller.

That is simultaneously really cool and really terrifying.

*She's somewhere between deadpan and shaking with energy. Yes, Imogen can do that.*

They're cool when you're using them and terrifying when the enemy is, more or less.

I'd still be terrified when I was using one.

...and probably find the fighting others using one kinda cool.

It's all fun and games as long as it's just some high school competition. After that it gets ugly.
