Eighth Quirk - Video (Violet City)

*The video feed starts in with Imogen still in her pajamas (green and covered in grass type Pokemon), She's somewhere after defeating hr bedhead but before putting her hair up when she was interrupted by something. This something has her full attention, whatever it is, you can't see it by the current angle. She probably isn't even aware she's being filmed by that clever scamp of a Furret she keeps with her.*

Leo, Leonardo, Lenny, Nelly, Donatello, Don, Donald, Donny, Dom, Mikey, Michael, Michelangelo, Raphy, Rafiki, Raph, Raphael, Venus-

Squirtle!

Okay, okay, not Venus.

*Imogen continues through a lot of vaguely ocean, turtle, water themed names. This includes names of bodies of water, rivers, and islands. Real and fictional. She goes at this for at least five minutes, until finally she gets a positive reaction.*

Alright, Brenn it is! It is nice to meet you.

*Brenn the Squirtle must have motioned, or someone directed her to check behind her. As Imogen finally notices they have a spy. Surprised definitely covers Imogen's reaction, usually she's the one surprising others! There is a brief skirmish as Imogen lunges and snatches the gear away from her Furret. Which Brenn uses as a good chance to go out and explore the Center.*

Brenn! Get back here!

*Imogen turns back to hear Gear.*

Morning! Um, Foofyku it hatched, but this is the third time he's tried to explore before I've gotten dressed! I- later, gotta run! Tailypo come on!

(OOC: Responses will be Voice/Action while she chases her Squirtle, and Video/Action once that's taken care of.)

Eh, that wasn't too bad a naming time. Omen was worse.

He seems to wanna find out everything really quickly. I need to get a Pokeball for him. Or a leash. Or both, at once.

One of those little baby carriers might work, too, if you're willing to risk getting drenched. Might get a bit heavy, though.

A Pokeball is easier than that. But maybe if he behaves he could see all the stuff from a carrier.

It would give him the chance to learn how to behave from the rest of your team, too.

But... I still want him to be himself.

Just- after I put clothes on. That's all.

They can teach him proper timing instead, then.

Timing is the most important thing, when to get up, when to tell the punch line of a joke, when to swoop in and snap up an escaping Squirtle!

*Crash, ow, minor cursing.*

...I should ask my Pokemon to teach me timing...

...Catching runaway Squirtles is harder than it looks, then?

He is a very quick thing for a turtle.

Although he kinda ducked into his shell and... bounced... off a wall to get away.

Oh, so he's a crafty one then. He'll go far in life.

He does so much with his very first steps. You must be extremely proud.

And I'll be more proud when I catch him.

*Imogen really is proud, but she crashed into a wall. She'll get back there eventually.*

Baby pokémon tend to be a handful when they first hatch. At least you're lucky enough that you only have one baby to worry about right now?

Wildfyre was this bad, but she would just run around, not explore!

Mystery just curled up, not big on the whole doing things thing.

Yeah, I have four more eggs to hatch, I kinda want to keep them tempo'd so they don't all hatch at once!

Wow. I guess that's probably the smartest idea.

And here I was raising them all at once.

After a TV special about that woman with sextuplets it seemed like a good plan to get to know and raise young creatures one at a time.

I mean, even with Omen and Tailypo helping, one can be more than a handful. Wildfyre can help me coral them outside, but in a building she's a bit too pony and flamey.

... Huh? I never heard of that.

And yeah, they are a bit of a handful. But all of my pokémon are really close to each other now.

Though my Umbreon was not much help back when I was raising all of them as babies. When he was an Eevee he'd try to fight everything that moved.

It's a thing from home? Kinda an old thing, I saw it as a rerun. The lady wanted to have six kids all at once. Weird right?

Yeah, Joules is kinda like that. She very catty with other girls. So I can't really rely on her to help as much as Omen, who doesn't have fun, and Tailypo, who can't be serious. They still like to keep some level of peace.

Oh. That explains a lot. And yeah, that's a lot of work. I can't even imagine what she must've been going through raising them.

Yeah. At least he doesn't attack my own pokémon, but I couldn't keep him out of his ball that often because he'd just pounce on anything else he'd see. But I somehow managed, so if you do end up with more of them hatching at once, you should be okay.

I expect juggling, if you have six babies and only four hands between you and your husband. Juggling.

*Imogen stop saying such things with such certainty.*

Joules doesn't try to pick fights as often, but she's still kinda big on being the only girl around. I definitely don't want to overdo the hatching stuff with the next egg though.

[Hikari giggles.]

Pretty much. Though it was only four baby pokémon for me.

[She nods at that.]

Aww, I'm sure you'll get another girl pokémon sometime soon! But yeah, if you can, you might want to wait.

Still, you only have two hands.

Nonono, I have other girl-mons, those are the ones Joule's bickers with. She kinda feels they steal her spotlight or something.

And it isn't like she's interested in the boys, she just... dislikes other girls.

Oh. That's... interesting.

But I guess not surprising. Pokémon seem to have more complex personalities than most animals, from what I can tell.

It'd be nice to know what she was thinking, I don't speak Pokemon though.

It is great that they are smarter than most animals. I mean I thought my dog at home was smart, but Pokemon are way smarter!

*And then Imogen made herself sad.*

Yeah. Even if we can kinda understand a few things they say, it's still pretty hard...

They don't bother me. They just make me really uspet.
