Second Quirk - Video (Cherrygrove)

*The video opens up with a lovely sunset on Cherrygrove city. Then turns back to a very out of breath Imogen. The trip from New Bark to Cherrygrove was not kind to her clothes, or her hair, and her face had some dirt on it. In a cute way that almost looks like she did it herself.*

Pokemon Center. Get to.

*The camera moves away, evidently one of her animal companions has it. Omen is still next to her, this time with Imogen's Rattata on his back. Imogen has a Shinx in her arms. Neither is moving very much, not dead because that isn't how it works. But Imogen still looks worried about something.*

*The cameramon makes a trilling sound and the camera goes all Blair Witch for a moment.*

You sure it's that way?

*More shaking of the Pokegear.*

[Oh dear.] It looks like you've had a bit of a rough time... Are you alright?

*The reply comes later, after Imogen locates and enters the Pokemon Center. She takes a breath before she's back to her energetic self.*

...Fine! I just, it's nothing! I wanted my friends up and awake to say hi to!

Joules went all out against Whiskey for some reason, and to get her to stop Omen went a bit too hard on her. So I caught her and rushed them both here. ...At least I'm no longer in the woods! That's something.

...Once you get there, the kitchen has a stock of coffee and energy drinks.

[Because she looks like she needs that.]

Thanks. I found that after I got Whiskey and Joules to the Nurses.

*She sounds a little worried.*

I need real food though, that was a lot of running. What do I do in the city anyway?

We sell some food at the Pokémart, but if you're hungry now one of the local restaurants will serve better. Once you and your Pokémon are fine, you can go to the spa or take up a part time job. The beach is probably too cold to be enjoyable now.

A job?

I guess that makes sense if battling doesn't really give you a lot to work with. Do the jobs have uniforms?

*She hated uniforms. So suffocating.*

Well... if it means real food... I guess a job isn't the end of the world.

They have name tags, if you can live with those. And even a single week will be enough to feed you for a month, if you buy smartly.

*Considers* Do I have to have my name on the nametag?

So... what I should do is buy unsmartly and then get a job in the next town over!

*She sounds really chipper at this idea, mostly because it means clothes.*

...I don't think you'll have very different job opportunities there, true nametag or not, and you will need a week's worth of food to get there in the first place.

But the music will be different there, and I can work another week after buying a lot of clothes here!

Thanks for warning me how long a trip that'll be! I can plan ahead AND buy lots of stuff!

Different perhaps, but hoping for better might be a bit much. Won't all those clothes get heavy on the road? We were given good backpacks, but they can't be that good.

I said different, I like different. Clearly the music is a means to keep you moving or else you get bored with what you hear!

And... hold on. *Sounds like she's walking, and... yup, she's at the PokeCenter computer* Um... I'm pretty sure the my PC thing is for items and equipment. At least, that's what it did in the games.

So I can have all the clothes I want! Right?

...Actually, I haven't seen an option to put objects in there. I mean, the potion Scarf wouldn't let go of went in with her when I switched teams, but that's all.

Well, that's how it worked. I can check it when I have more clothes.

I didn't know Pokemon could hold items. I guess that makes sense though.

...Maybe I should read the guidebook or something...

Of course it makes sense. Many have paws, and with so many acting as domesticated pets there has to be a market for fashionable accessories.

That'd be useful. It tells you which berries are dangerous to you, if nothing else.

Well, I meant- *Annoyed sound, explaining pokemon video game is annoying sometimes.* nevermind!

...With their teeth, maybe? Or they could just make a hand out of that purple... smoke around them.

I guess... *She kinda wants to find a Gastly and test this.* some Pokemon make less sense than others.

Well, I have a plan now. Well, plan-like, I can almost call it a plan!

I'm sure it'll work out!

...In how many ways can it not work out, and how do you intend to counter those?

Um... I could get kidnapped by aliens, that would ruin my plan-like thing. I'm sure there are a bunch of other ways too.

Why?

Because I get the feeling that most of our worst-case scenarios are possible and even common here. Between the ghost invasions and everything else I've heard of...

Well, I can't really plan ahead for, you know, any of that... I can level my team, keep moving, catch new friends. And I'll cross whatever ghosts and aliens and giant marshmallow incarnations of destruction that get in my way when they happen!

*Nope, too good a mood, your plan for the worst is not very effective.*

...You know, that might be the best way to deal with the whole situation, at this point.

There's waaaaay too many things to need to plan for, better to just not bother!

Except rain, a raincoat is totally on my list.

Along with a winter coat and gloves, it's already November. Hopefully it'll be a mild one.

I can layer my clothes for the time being. It isn't that cold yet.

*Canadian girls know how to not freeze to death... and still look cute.*

Maybe I can find yarn and knit myself some mittens! I wonder what colors I can find here.

[And how to survive three meters of snow in less than a week on the road, of course.]

Or you could look for a sheep Pokémon. I bet there's one out there, waiting to share its wool.

But... won't they need it right now, if winter is coming?

I think it'd be better to find wool from last season than sheer a poor sheepmon now.

That would depend on how insulated those pokéballs are. ...I really hope they are. The locals can't possibly be that negligent.
