*Barring questions on how Imogen has that much breath, the girl seems to be in awe over her new hatchling. A sparkly looking golden Vulpix. Currently Imogen's hair is in a pair of handlebar looking things sticking out of the side of her head. She also has an Eevee perched on her shoulder, her hatchling from earlier in the week. And of course Brenn the Squirtle who was watching as the new Vulpix set some drapery on fire.*

*Squirtle jumped into action taking the fire out with a few simple water guns.*

No, Nove, no! We have talked about this. Fire pretty OUTSIDE. We are INSIDE. Stop that!

Alright, so I got a bunch of little hatchlings, but I seem to do pretty well getting them to behave with only a week of training. ...Barring Aglon, but she's unique, being a large dinosaur. She's stopped trying to eat Whiskey and Tailypo!

And Eevees are special, they evolve into seven different things.

It doesn't have to be a Psychic-type. How do they choose which one they'll become?

Eevee reacts to a lot of different evolution rocks. But Espeon and Umbreon are happiness based. Happy Eevee will react to moonlight or sunlight and evolve.

Pretty neat huh?

So if you get one of those two, it means you're raising your team right? It makes me wonder why anyone would aim for the other forms.

I don't think I'd go that far... Eevee becomes what it needs to. But to me that seems like Eevee becomes what it wants to.

Just because it can only become Espeon and Umbreon by being happy, doesn't mean it would never want to be any of the others.

True. I bet they have ways of making sure they get exactly the evolution they want.

Well, the other forms are done with Elemental Stones. I would guess that the five stones naturally occur in certain environments to help Eevee adapt.

Or! OH! The stones are synthetic versions of very real natural conditions that are ripe for Pokemon evolution.

I don't think they're synthetic. I found one in the ruins south of Violet, and I doubt it was there because someone dropped it.

I found a potion in the tall grass, I'm pretty sure those aren't natural.

People might not bother to look for a dropped potion, but a lost moon stone would make a much bigger dent in their budget.

Well, Moon stones are unique, they have to be naturally occurring, just... not on Earth.

But I was sure those were all found in Kanto, around Mt. Moon.

Maybe this means the ruins and Mt. Moon are connected?

Maybe... but maybe not. Who knows!

Even if they were, the locals wouldn't tell us.
